Google Business Profile management

Get found on Google Maps

We set up, optimise and post to your Google Business Profile, so more local customers find you.

The Sanam Tandoori family outside the restaurant in Falkirk, celebrating 50 years

Forth Media offers Google Business Profile management for restaurants and local businesses across Central Scotland. We complete and optimise your profile, add fresh photos every month, publish regular posts, help you get more reviews and keep your details accurate. That makes it easier for people searching nearby to find you, call you and get directions.

Your Google listing is often your first impression

When someone searches “café near me” or “electrician in Bathgate”, they usually see the map and a handful of businesses before they see a single website. If your profile has old photos, missing hours, a handful of reviews and no recent posts, they pick someone else. Most of the time, they never even reach your website.

Google Business Profile optimisation, done properly

Google decides which businesses to show in the map results based on three things: relevance (does your profile match the search?), distance (how close are you?) and prominence (how well known and well reviewed are you?). You can read more in Google’s own guidance on local ranking.

We can’t change where you’re located, but Google Business Profile optimisation improves the other two. A complete, accurate, active profile with steady reviews and fresh photos gives Google more reasons to show you.

Google My Business management, now called Google Business Profile

If you remember it as Google My Business, you’re not alone. Google renamed it Google Business Profile, but it’s the same listing. Our Google My Business management service covers everything from first set-up and verification to ongoing posts and photos.

Why use a Google My Business agency?

You can manage your profile yourself, and we’re happy to show you how. Most owners hand it to a Google My Business agency because it needs small, regular updates that are easy to forget. We already shoot your photos for social media, so adding them to Google takes no extra effort.

Google Business Profile checklist

Here’s what we check and complete on every profile we manage. How many can you tick off on yours?

  • The right primary category, plus relevant secondary categories
  • Opening hours, including holiday hours
  • Phone number, website link and booking or menu links
  • A clear business description that says what you do and where
  • Services or menu items listed with short descriptions
  • Service areas set correctly if customers don’t visit you
  • At least 20 real photos, including the outside, inside, team and products
  • A post published in the last seven days
  • Replies to every review, good or bad
  • The same name, address and phone number as your website and directories

If you’re missing more than two or three of these, your profile is probably costing you customers.

Google Business Profile FAQs

What is Google Business Profile management?

It’s the ongoing work of keeping your Google listing complete, accurate and active: updating details, adding photos, publishing posts, replying to reviews and checking performance. It helps you show up in Google Maps and local search results.

How much do Google Business Profile management services cost?

We quote every project individually, so you only pay for what you need. It’s included in our Growth and Full Package plans.

Can you get me more Google reviews?

We can make it much easier for happy customers to leave a review, with links, QR codes and reminders. We never buy, write or fake reviews, which is against Google’s rules.

How long does Google Business Profile optimisation take to work?

Fixing and completing a profile can make a difference within weeks. Rankings in the map results also depend on reviews, distance and competition, so steady monthly work matters most.

I don’t have a Google Business Profile. Can you set one up?

Yes. We can create and verify a new profile for you. Verification is done by Google and can take several days.

Do you work with service-area businesses without a shop?

Yes. We can set up a profile with your address hidden and your service areas listed, which suits trades and mobile businesses.
